Since 2003, the Women of Discovery Awards have identified, honored and supported women explorers around the world.  Given in categories of Earth, Sea, Air & Space, Humanity, Courage, Field Research and Lifetime Achievement, the WOD Awards recognize outstanding contributions to world knowledge through exploration, while providing important funding to support continued research through expeditions.
