WINGS Flag Carrier Michelle Westmorland just launched a kickstarter campaign so she can finish her film on explorer Caroline Mytinger who went to New Guinea in the 1920's.

HEADHUNT REVISITED is about the power of Caroline Mytinger's art to connect cultures across oceans and decades. The film retraces Caroline’s improbable trip to Melanesia in the 1920s, then known as the land of headhunters, with a goal to paint portraits of the native islanders. Nearly 80 years later, her paintings now inspire two contemporary artists. American photographer Michele Westmorland, who lead her own expedition in search of descendants of Caroline's paintings; and Papua New Guinean portrait painter Jeffry Feeger, who has been inspired by Caroline's art to paint his own modern interpretation of Melanesia's today, acknowledging that indeed times have changed.
