WINGS FUNDS, ELEVATES and builds community
around VISIONARY women and their pioneering discoveries in science, exploration & conservation

Our approach is three-pronged:

1. ADVANCE WOMEN EXPLORERS IN THE FIELD

WINGS WorldQuest awards unrestricted grants to WINGS Fellows to support their quests to find solutions to global problems through bold research and exploration projects. Grants and honoraria are awarded to Women of Discovery Awardees, Flag Carriers and speakers.

2. CONNECT WOMEN EXPLORERS AND COMMUNITIES WORLDWIDE

WINGS WorldQuest serves a growing global community of more than 150 Fellows and Flag Carriers by providing a platform through which they can network, share achievements and garner support for their work.

Our various events, such as our Women of Discovery Annual GalaExplorer Talks, and Global Explorers Forum, celebrate and showcase the groundbreaking expeditions of these women scientists and explorers, whose discoveries advance scientific inquiry, stimulate conservation, and lead to better understanding of our world.

Women of Discovery Annual Gala: A celebration of new awardees that gathers the WINGS community together in support of the pioneering work and expeditionary science of Fellows and Flag Carriers worldwide.

Global Explorers Forum: A gathering in New York City for WINGS Fellows and Flag Carriers to discuss their research, share findings, network, and propose collaborations and solutions to environmental and social issues with key stakeholders, foundation leaders and policy makers.

An International Network: The WINGS community of Fellows and Flag Carriers is brought together year-round through WINGS’s electronic network. They connect to share stories, seek out advice, and stimulate each other’s work through an ongoing ideas exchange.

3. INSPIRE THE NEXT GENERATION

The WINGS WorldQuest Associate Board (AB) is a group of young professional women that are passionate about supporting women in science and exploration. The AB supports WINGS’s efforts financially, including a dedicated fund to sponsor a WINGS Fellow grant per year via fundraising events and campaigns. The WINGS WorldQuest Youth Leadership Council is a new high school initiative to increase awareness of the WINGS Fellows and Flag Carriers as modern-day role models, engaging young people in the sciences and motivating them to be curious, thoughtful and committed to creating a better world.

WINGS WORLDQUEST’S EDUCATIONAL OUTREACH

WINGS aims to foster awareness of women in leadership, promote interest in the sciences, introduce exciting career opportunities, and inspire young girls to safeguard our world.

WINGS sponsors seminars, workshops, and webinars so that WINGS Fellows and Flag Carriers can share behind-the-scenes aspects of their expeditions, original findings, and inspired stories about choosing their career path.

WINGS coordinates a limited number of requests for Fellow and Flag Carrier visits from schools and community organizations, based on availability.

For all visit requests and media inquiries, please contact info@wingsworldquest.org.
